Nice to see ex-Bath resident Ben Nordberg doing so well in California. With all the rain we have been having over here, it seems that moving to the West Coast is the only viable option. Of course it helps if you’ve been picked up by Flip skateboards!

It’s Olympic time again – the two weeks every four years when you avidly watch a bunch of sports you wouldn’t dream of watching at any other time.
I’m not anti-Olympic though, I am for it. the 2012 games have regenerated a part of London that would have remained wasteland forever, and it gives the nation a much-needed boost. And yes, the opening ceremony did make me feel proud to be British.

There was an interesting article on the Guardian website recently looking at the problems facing the UK’s High Street. As well as hearing from Mary Portas, who was appointed by David Cameron in May 2011 to head up an independent review on the state of the High Street, the article also asked for input on how to improve our city centres from a range of other voices.
