Oldschool decks are decks similar to those popular in the 1970s and 1980s.
When skateboarding first started in 1975, the decks were designed to look similar in shape to surfboards, with a single kicktail at the rear. These decks were narrow - about 7 inches wide, and were fitted with narrow trucks and big soft urethane wheels that would glide over road and pavement surfaces.
As skateboarding developed, the decks became wider making them more stable, and the wheels became harder so they rolled quicker over concrete skatepark surfaces.
We sell 1970s and 1980s style decks and accessories here at Skateboards of Choice - your one stop UK based skateboard shop.
